Mark Jenkins shouldn’t have become a cop.

He learned that far too late. After working a series of dead-end jobs, fresh-faced college graduate Mark applied to become a Sheriff’s deputy. Chasing suspects, arresting criminals, and busting gangs were what he’d signed up for. Not the blatant disrespect, eighteen-hour shifts, and bullshit pay. Nobody did.

And somewhere along that thin blue line, he strayed from the path. Now, to keep what he’s earned, he’ll have to maneuver through the murky world of gangs, politics, and favors–or the last thing he’ll see is the end of a gun.
